JLA vs. CSA is a 2024 superhero action film based on the DC Comics team, the Justice League of America. It is a sequel to the 2020 film JLA and focuses around the team's encounter with an alternate universe incarnation of themselves known as the Crime Syndicate of Amerika. While being a live-action adaption of the comic JLA: Earth 2, the film takes many liberties and incorporates elements from other storylines such as Forever Evil and Crisis on Infinite Earths. It is the twelfth installment of Imruer's DCCU.
Four years since the formation of the Justice League, people now trust their local super-humans to serve and protect from those who would do them harm. Heroes such as Superman and Wonder Woman are looked up to as icons, and even the vigilante-hero Batman has gained respect from his city's citizens. The world seems a safer place, and the JLA has a new headquarters provided by the Martian Manhunter: the Watchtower. As fate would have it, however, trouble knocks on the JLA's doorstep. An alternate version of Lex Luthor, arriving out of nowhere in Metropolis, describes a dire situation to the League: an evil incarnation of this world's greatest heroes holding Luthor's own world under their command. Though Superman's distrust of this new "Alexander Luthor" character seems prominent at first, the two bond on their journey between universes and Superman sees that this man is truly not his enemy. The League arrives, but the enemy, known as the CSA, quickly eliminates the League's most valuable player, J'onn J'onzz (via a countered mental attack from Ultraman). When the JLA return home to regroup and form a plan, Owlman and the rest of the CSA arrive in this world to take control of it as well. With the battle between good and evil raging on, the JLA slowly sees the potential threat of their own existence. To defeat the CSA, the League will need to face their own fears: themselves. In the end, the JLA disbands--all the heroes deciding to work individually, rather than together as what they perceive as an "army".
